Market Trends Global is an innovative investment strategy firm focused on the creation and delivery of advanced computer (artificial intelligence) based portfolio management strategies. The strategies, and the technology to support them, are advanced offshoots of research efforts on which Pete Daly and Gary Herron have been collaborating for several years.

Principals


Pete Daly Joseph F (Pete) Daly is Chief Strategy Officer for Market Trends Global. Pete began his investment career at Hornblower & Weeks, Hemphill-Noyes in New York City upon graduation from Gettysburg College. Pete relocated to Charlotte, N.C. with Hornblower and later worked as an account executive at Interstate Securities, where he also served as the closed end fund analyst as well as developing broker and manager training programs. During this period he taught investment classes at local universities for over fifteen years. He worked at Bank of America Securities for ten years and more recently, Hilliard Lyons for nine years. Pete developed a trend-identification service, which forms the basis for Market Trend Global's tactical asset allocation investment process using exchange traded funds.


Gary Herron Gary Herron is Chief Technology Officer for Market Trends Global. Gary began his career at First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo), where he played several information technology (IT) roles, including application developer, systems programmer, and data base analyst. He later joined an IT consulting organization, where he helped multiple financial institutions with technology architectures and implementations. Fifteen years ago Gary became an entrepreneur when he co-founded Standpoint Technologies, where he developed innovative, market-driven technology solutions for various businesses across many industries. Subsequently, he joined Thinkgate, an education industry leader, as an owner and product architect. Today, he focuses his time and energies on Market Trends Global, building the technology solutions that drive the innovative investment strategies.
